Peter Wreford, who launched New Life, says: “This vision has gripped my heart and shaped my life for 25 years now and, while a great deal of progress has been made, I believe we finally have the potential to make a significant impact on our society. The vision is both simple and profound.

“Behind the front doors of the 23 million homes of our nation live hundreds of thousands of our friends, colleagues and acquaintances who are desperate to find something more in life. They may not tell us, but many lift their eyes to heaven before laying their heads on their pillows. And I believe God hears those prayers! He is sending us – the believers – to answer their prayers and take them the Gospel message.

And you can be confident that the majority of people will be happy to receive it. At a recent Christians in Motorsport event, hundreds were handed out to spectators, but only one was thrown away.

New Life receives dozens of letters from churches and organisations that are confident to hand out the paper. And we regularly receive feedback from readers who’ve never seen New Life before.

One church in Dartford hands out copies every month, and around 50 people who don’t go to church now ask for a copy of New Life. By planting this seed, the church is building a bridge for the Gospel.

One person who in Grantham who runs a market stall outreach told us how pleased her people were to receive New Life because they found it easy to read and engaging.

In Rhyl the Rev Derek Green used New Life as the only promotional tool for an evangelistic summer fun day. More than 2,000 people attended.

Rev Green said: “The main method of promotion was New Life newspaper, which was distributed to every home in town. The turnout proved that New Life was an essential part of our outreach in 2008.”
